AS Level
Description
The International British Curriculum's A Level is a two-year course that ends with an internationally recognised examination usually written at age 18. These two years are split between two levels at CambriLearn: the first year is covered in the AS Level courses and the second year is covered in the A Level courses. This enables students to choose to write only the AS Level examinations, or to proceed to the full A Level course over two years.
A British Advanced curriculum is typically for learners aged 16 to 19 years who need advanced study to prepare for university and higher education.
Course Outlines
Each AS Level course has a structured lesson plan that has been created by professionally trained and qualified teachers. Students will have access to live online lessons, and a recorded lesson library, to which they can refer if they are experiencing any difficulties with a specific topic.
The student's progress is tracked on CambriLearn's Student Tracker. Students will also complete assignments and mock exams, which are marked by their teachers. The marked assessments and mock exams will have individualised feedback to help the student improve.
School Fees
CambriLearn offers two packages to meet the individual student's needs. You can view the package comparison and estimated cost breakdown for our British Curriculum offering here.
Admissions and Assessment
If you're uncertain about the grade or level that your child should be enrolled in, you can speak to one of our education consultants who will determine if your child should complete an assessment to establish their appropriate schooling level.
Specific Outcomes
At the end of the first year of A Level, students have the option of writing AS Level exams. These AS Levels are internationally recognised examinations, written at certified exam centres across the world. Students proceeding to the full A Level can write their AS Level exams in one year and then the A Level exams the following year, or they can write all the exams in their second year of study. The CambriLearn A Level courses cover the second year of the A Level subjects.
Requirements
Learners must have completed CambriLearn's International GCSE or an equivalent when they enter AS Level. It is suitable for learners between the ages of 17 and 18 years old.
Reports
Learners are required to complete all subjects within a grade before they are eligible to receive a report card. A progress report card is also available on request.
